Did Robert Mugabe say he is tired?

For everything there is a season, and a time for every activity under heaven. (New Living Translation, 2007)

Earlier this week, Zimbabwean President, Robert Mugabe informed Morgan Tsvangirai he wants to step down as a result of tiredness. Lol! why does he want to quit? does he fear what befell Gaddafi might come upon him? doesn't he want to continue enjoying the privileges that goes with being a President?

In fact, members of his ZANU-PF party have disagreed to his decision to step down as they fear the collapse of the party after his departure from office. In fact I laughed my heart out when I heard this story. Here is one man who vowed never to relinquish power for anything a few years ago, now he wants to go and is being refused exit. Hahhh! this world is really funny.

Anyway, if I had the chance of meeting with Mugabe, I will urge him on, even at 87 to hold till he finishes the race.  There is no point running away at this time.

Shalom!

  2. He is yet to be tired. How I wish I were in Zimbabwe, I will advocate for his stay in power till he passes away. ZANU-PF should not let him go. want want don't get, get get don't want.
