Tiger Wood's Ex-wife demolishes $12million

Image
Before demolition For some women, divorce is a way of making wealth, but to Elin Nordegren it is a way of wasting her ex-husband's wealth. That is why just after being paid her severance benefit bought this mansion (above) at a cost of $12million, only to demolish it later. (below). Did she do it out of frustration, or just a revenge? After demolition

MY TRIBUTE TO DENNIS DODOO - RIP

Image
For him to live is Christ, and to die is gain.  Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. Exactly a week today, Thursday 29th December, you exit this world to your real home. I threw away my cell phone on which I was receiving the news about your demise and sat dumb-founded for about 15 minutes trying to recollect what I had just heard. Your demise is an irreplaceable gem in the anals of the Word Miracle Church, Zoe Assembly, where you served as a Deacon and later Elder for so many years. You gave your all for the church. You were the Church's last resort when it came to delegating someone to represent the church at a programme, be it wedding, engagement, naming, funerals, etc. I remember in 2005 when the Church delegated you, myself and another Deaconess to attend a bereaved member's funeral in Anomabo in the Central Region, you willingly drove the delegation to and fro even providing food and snacks. I also remember when you painstakingly took us th

Egyptian Prosecutors seek death penalty for ousted President, Hosni Mubarak

Image
Almost a year ago, Egyptian President, Hosni Mubarak was accorded the respect and honour that goes with being the first man of any country. A year down the line, his own country men are seeking his execution. This goes to affirm the fact that "better is the end of a thing than the beginning thereof". Lets always remember that come what may, the end will always justify the means. Shalom!

The fuel subsidy saga - Nationwide strike in Nigeria

Image
Nigeria's main trade unions have announced an indefinite strike and mass demonstrations from Monday unless the removal of a fuel subsidy is reversed. The withdrawal has led petrol prices to more than double since Monday, prompting anger countrywide. "We have the total backing of all Nigerian workers on this strike and mass protest," I just pray this doesn't extend to Ghana, because we have enough wahala to handle this year. Shalom!

Murder probe over remains at Queen's Sandringham Estate

Image
Culled from BBC A murder inquiry has begun after human remains were found on the Queen's Sandringham Estate in Norfolk. Det Ch Insp Jes Fry, of Norfolk Constabulary, said officers were examining cold cases across the UK for potential links. The force has confirmed the remains were that of a woman. A dog walker made the discovery at Anmer, near King's Lynn, on New Year's Day. The area has been cordoned off. Police said the identity of the woman was not yet known. Detectives would not speculate on the age of the woman or comment on whether the body was clothed. Cold cases reviewed "We are at the very early stages of the investigation and it could be a complex inquiry," said Mr Fry. "I cannot confirm whether she was clothed because, at the moment, only my staff, the person who found the body and the person or people who put it there know that - and I would like it to stay that way.  God save her soul.

Hurray!! World's oldest twins chalk 102 years

Image
The world's oldest twins celebrated their 102 nd birthday together on Wednesday. Born on January 4, 1910, Ena Pugh and Lily Millward have spent each of their birthdays together.  The English twins were born before the beginning of World War I, and they still meet up for weekly shopping trips and talk on the phone nearly every day. Lily Millward said "laughter and having a joke with each other" has been the secret to their longevity. "We used to work on the farm all day, but we would enjoy ourselves,' Millward said. 'It was a lot of fun and sociable. We've been very lucky and we have always had good health."  More years for you.

Fuel Hikes - Association of Ghana Industries threatens to lay off workers

Image
AGI President, Nana Owusu Afari The Association of Ghana Industries has threatened to lay of workers if government carries out its decision to remove fuel subsidy.  The 15-30 percent increment over the week-end has caused the prices of goods and services to rise astronomically. This they described has increased the cost of production drastically, and if the fuel subsidy is removed, they will have no other option than to send workers packing. Just imagine a country like Ghana beginning the year with lay-offs, so sad. Shalom!
