What is happenning?

Image
Although it has been claimed that work ethics and tight schedules of star actress Kate Henshaw and her spouse Roderick Nuttal contributed heavily to the crash of their marriage, many are however laying the blame on gossip and alleged dalliance of the star actress which her enemies peddled to her husband. According to them, in the last two years, there had been allegations of the actress being close to an unnamed Ghanaian big boy whom they claim she was also travelling to see in Accra. Shalom!

Human or chicken thighs?

Image
In fact sometimes I am tempted to believe that if God had to create human being again, He may create man remove his rib and use it to create something else. Why this? you may ask. Did God err in creating woman fearfully and wonderfully? did He err by taking the best rib from man to create woman? what is really the problem? what will make a woman wear clothes far high above her thighs so as to show her undies or sit on the front row at social gatherings when the least mistake will expose the 'road to paradise'. Look how awful those thighs are. pix credit: peacefmonline.com

Who will buy my vote?

Image
As the National Democratic Congress Parliamentary primaries for Southern Ghana draws closer, stories of intrigues and vote buying are emerging from various constituencies. The Agona East Constituency is one of the keenly contested seats where the Minister for Food and Agriculture Mr. Kwesi Ahwoi is battling with some other contestants. Initially there were five contestants in all but Mr. Arhin, a nephew of the minister was persuaded to withdraw from the race. It is reported that the Agric Minister’s quarters is offering each of the 250 delegates a whopping GHC1,000 cedis to vote for him. It is alledged! Shalom!

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) wants the Bureau of National Investigations (BNI) to ‘arrest’ Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, the NPP MP for Assin North for making a statement that is likely to cause fear and panic. Which one is this statement. Please put a scale by your mouth to measure whatever you say. Shalom!

Koku Anyidoho, the Director of Communications at the Presidency, has warned the flagbearer of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and some leading members of the party not to even think of causing any mayhem in the 2012 General Elections since they may all die first if they persist with their “ all-die-be-die” mantra . Accident die be die, suicide die be die, drowning die be die .................. so all die be die. Shalom!

Turning residence into banking hall

Image
It is reported that one of the rooms at the residence of the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Nii Armah Ashittey, has been turned into a banking hall where employees of the National Youth Employment Programme (NYEP) were paid their salaries. As early as 7am, most of the NYEP personnel, including health extension workers, community police and other ancillary workers under the programme who had not been paid for the past seven months, queued at the regional minister’s residence located at Ridge, next to the Passport Office, displaying their appointment letters. The funny thing is that these people; some of whom have their Masters Degree receive salaries that is nothing to write home about. Wey tin government dey do about them. Shalom!

When your own betrays you

Image
Saif al-Islam Gaddafi was betrayed to his captors by a Libyan nomad who says he was hired to help Muammar Gaddafi's son escape to neighboring Niger on the promise that he would be paid one million euros. Saif al-Islam, wanted for prosecution by the International Criminal Court, was captured at the weekend in what one official in the country's new government said was "the final chapter in Libya's drama." With a black scarf wrapped around his head, Yussef Saleh al-Hotmani said that he contacted revolutionary fighters in Libya's south to inform them when Saif's two-car convoy would be passing through the area on the night of November 18. "I made Saif believe that I trusted him," he said on Tuesday in Zintan, where Saif al-Islam is being held at a secret location before the details of his prosecution are finalized. Shalom!

After receiving the Best Overall Music Video Award, ace music icon, Rebecca Acheampong, popularly known as Becca returned to her seat only to realise the absence of her handbag which contained her car keys, money, call cards and other IDs. The event; 3rd Edition of the 4Syte Music Video Awards, came off at the Accra International Conference Center on Saturday 19 November. Was it the devil's way of 'contaminating' her happy mood?

Vaccination on Yellow Fever

Image
There is this vaccination exercise currently underway in some parts of Ghana against the renowned killer disease; YELLOW FEVER. This programme is under the auspices of the Ministry of Health and carried out by the Ghana Health Service. I however have a problem with this programme. Want to know? Well since your ears dey itch, my mouth don dey itch too.  I just finished receiving my vaccine and the sad thing was that, there was no education or test carried out before administering the vaccine. Even though the media is carrying out public education, yet a lot of Ghanaians don't even know what is going on. You will agree with me that some people have one health problem or the other that can be triggered at the administration of one drug or the other. So at least, they should have carried out some tests and educated the people at the venue of the programme. I heard on air that pregnant women are exempted. What if a woman who is not aware she is 2 months pregnant goes for the vaccine...

Week-end to remember

Image
Hi good people, I had a wonderful week-end that I wished never ended. An NGO known as Push Africa which is into organising tours, excursions and other activities for colleges and universities in Africa organized a tour to some tourist sites in the Central Region of Ghana for some students from Nigeria over the week-end. In fact I would have regretted had I not gone on this trip. I loved every bit of it and want to encourage my Naija blogville to start thinking of coming down for one such tour. I had a few shots that I want to share with you hope you love them. Anyway the sites were the Cape Coast Castle in Cape Coast and Kakum National Park also in Kakumdo a town in Cape Coast. Lets get along................ On board the bus to Cape Coast A part of Cape Coast As I rest on a pillar outside the castle The Cape Coast Castle, housed slaves to be transported to Europe Some tourists at the site Behind me are the round metallic bullets (they've been there for o...
