THE JOURNEY TO NZULEZU

Tourism has been something that I've loved all my life. I love traveling to places outside my home especially, in the quest for information on how people live, why and how they do what they do. In order to satisfy this desire, I found myself this time around in the Western Region of Ghana. The Region whose slogan is "The best comes from the West". Indeed, to my dismay, this slogan has been proven by humans living in bamboo houses on the Amanzule river, popularly known as the Village on Stilt. OMG! this people live on the river, school there, have churches, defecate into the river and drink from the same river, I just couldn't believe my eyes.

Some students of the African University College of Communication undertook this educational trip through towns and villages like Essiama, Beyin, Nzulezu and finally Nkroful, the birth place of Ghana's first President, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah is something that only an IT mogul can format or delete from our hard disk. The programme was just amazing that some students wish they stayed for a few more days.

Any way, as usual since I don't want to remain selfish, I took a FEW pix for you to enjoy and also yearn to travel and see.
