The Moral Decadence in Society-who should teach your children?
A thorough study of Judges 2:10-12 reveal a generation who not only do not know what is right and wrong, but even do not know there is such a thing as right or wrong.
A generation grew up knowing neither the Lord nor what He had done for Israel. Their grandparents had seen the mighty hand of God, their parents had heard eyewitness account of the wonders of God but these children were never taught.
Was it the media that led them astray? It was not western culture, neither was it the momentous changes in lifestyle in the society. It was simply because their parents gave them many material blessings, but failed to teach them DILIGENTLY God's word.
Can we blame the schools, media, society, governments? no, because they are not entrusted with communicating Biblical values to our children. Have you for once pondered on why the Religious and Moral Education (RME) subject was taken off the school curricula? According to Deuteronomy 4:10, our knowing God should lead to two principles - fearing Him and teaching our children about Him. (Proverbs 22:6)
